In addition to being an entrepreneur, author, and financial engineer, Mitchell Yellen is a philanthropist who supports more than eighty non-profits and charities each year. Yellen’s philosophy on investing in local businesses to build up a community has resulted in more than 230 employment opportunities for Colorado Springs residents, supported Colorado sourced food vendors and increased tourist traffic in Colorado Springs with the addition of The Pinery at The Hill. “Colorado Springs has so much to offer. There was never a question in my mind about whether or not this was the right market,” said Yellen. Yellen’s team recently signed an exclusive catering contract between the U.S. Olympic Training Center with Garden of the Gods Gourmet.
